Nursing Appointments - On-line booking information

You can now book your routine nursing appointments on-line, please see below how many slots to book and with which member of staff

Health Care Assistant - Sarah Mann (Lesley)

1 x 10 minute slot - appointments for:

  • blood withdrawal for testing* (latest appointment to book - 5.30pm)
  • blood pressure testing
  • smoking cessation  - follow-up appointment
  • 24hour blood pressure attachment*

 2 x 10 minute slots - appointments  for:

  • smoking cessation - initial appointment
  • NHS Health Check step 1 or 2
  • Follow up for wound management
  • New patient health check / well person screening (may require blood test - latest appointment 5.15pm)
  • Spirometry *

 Practice Nurse - Paula Massey (Teresa)

1 x 10 minute slot -  appointments for:

  • MMR catch up vaccines for students or Whooping cough vaccine for pregnant ladies **
  • regular injections* (B12, contraceptive and hormone)
  • seasonal vaccinations such as shingles, influenza or pneumococcal**
  • wound management  - follow-up appointment (after initial assessment)
  • six monthly contraceptive pill check

 2 x 10 minute slots - appointments for:

  • routine childhood vaccinations
  • routine cervical smears  
  • Wound managment (stiches removed etc) - initial assessment
  • Chronic Disease Annual review (requires blood test - last appointment 5.15pm) such as:
    • Hypertension
    • Coronary Heart Disease
    • Stroke
    • CVD / TIA
    • COPD
    • Diabetes
    • Asthma

3 x 10 minute slots - appointments for:

  • initial holiday / travel advice and vaccines (only book once your completed travel questionaire has been completed and accepted by the surgery)

  • Complex wound managment, such as leg ulcer dressings

* please note - these procedures will only be carried out if they have been requested by a clinician

** please note - vaccines will only be given if the patient is included in the Department of Health's "at risk" register


Nurse Practitioner - Dawn Archman

15 minute slots for all appointments - Only consults with children over 1 year

  • minor ailments and illnesses
  • Long term conditon management and medication reviews (eg Diabetes)
  • contraception / preconception and emergency contraception
